For a while now I have been wanting to create a marketing blog and I have just not gotten around to it so I decided it was time. I had already created the blog layout and page, but it was time to create all the design elements to make it great. First, I needed inspiration. That was easy enough. A few years ago I was at a job interview and the interviewer noticed my wide range of marketing skills. I really do love marketing so I have dabbled in almost every area from SEO to print and radio ad copy. This kind person called me the Swiss Army Knife of marketing. After that, I told a few marketing friends the experience and it became a thing. Here is my big idea: Marketing is a tool so as a metaphor I will use a Swiss Army Knife to define the look and feel of the site. My favorite color is blue and I prefer white imagery for online sites because they are easier to read. After a little work, I came up with the design elements and copy below.
